What you'll do

Tex-Mex is a uniquely Texas cuisine. Different in many ways from Mexican food. Fajitas, Enchiladas, Nachos, Chili and Combo platters are all staples of Tex-Mex and developed right here in the Lone Star State! On this 2 hour food tour you will visit some of the best Tex-Mex food stops that the Historic West End of Downtown Dallas has to offer!

We'll visit the famous YO Ranch Steakhouse and sample their exquisite Chuchwagon Chile! We'll also visit Ellens for some Texas comfort food! We'll also visit other sites and sample fish tacos and unique chipotle flavored sorbet or Mexican hot chocolate. With our unique "Pay as you Go" model, simply hand the guide $30 cash on your arrival and the guide will take care of the rest! They will pay for the entire group at each of our 4 stops! Minimizing wait time. Paying cash makes it easy for each restaurant to offer more food for much less that you would pay on a comparable food tour! Saving you money!!

As your taste buds savor every bite, your guide will fill you in with the rich history of the Tex-Mex cuisine. Where did Nacho's come from? How did chili con carne sweep the nation? You'll learn all this and more on this Dallas Food and Culture tour!

I am a professional tour guide that is in LOVE with the Tex Mex food culture! Along with Anthony, our fellow tour guide and resident Foodie, we will give you a one of a kind experience you won’t find anywhere else!

We are both professional actors with a combined 35 years of stage experience. Anthony is a 4th generation Dallasite and as the saying goes, I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could! My 8 years in Dallas has opened my eyes and taste buds to this uniquely American cuisine.

We look forward to showing you the the Historic West End and letting you sample some of the best Tex-Mex Dallas has to offer.

We had a great time on this tour. The food was excellent and our guide was so personable! He was able to tell us some neat Tex Mex history and also engage us in conversation the whole time. The location was also great - everything was within about two blocks, making for a nice short walk between stops!

The host is AWESOME!! But the actual cost of the entire tour isn’t really worth the little bit of food you actually get to eat. I won’t be doing this again but I’m happy I got the experience.
