What you'll do

We'll start by foraging through the farm to make a diverse "goat salad." We'll walk through the garden, briefly stop to admire the beehives, and work our way to feeding and petting our silly goats and adorable Babydoll sheep. After our goats and sheep are nice and full, we'll spend some time with the hens, roosters, and ducks. We'll feed them organic hen scratch and farm greens, if available. We'll watch them happily scratch around and quack and coo. We'll pet and hold them too (if you'd like!). While the birds are busy, we'll hand feed our gentle cows some of their favorite treats. After washing off any cow slobber, we'll treat you to a light seasonal farm picnic. You'll then walk off those calories by taking our miniature horses for a stroll, and you'll pet and feed these sweeties. Following our horse experience, we'll step into the chicken coops to collect eggs for our farm customers. We'll compare the various types, shapes, colors, and sizes. We'll finish our experience with a calm and relaxing visit with our bunnies. We'll pet, brush and cuddle with these sweet and soft fur balls.

All along the experience, you will learn fun facts about our diverse animal family, and you’ll leave with a seasonal farm gift.

Other things to note
Wear comfortable closed-toed walking shoes and clothes you don't mind possibly getting a bit dirty. Boots and long pants are ideal.

I dreamed of farming since I was a little girl but lost my way in corporate America until about 10 years ago, when I remembered my path. I began with chickens and gardening, and eventually, The Nest Box was born, a humane, transparent and bio-diverse farm where guests can reconnect with our animals and the earth. On the farm, we raise chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, cows, mini horses, bunnies, and bees! We also maintain a fruit orchard and vegetable garden. Natural farming is my passion. We use all natural, organic, biodiverse and biomimicry practices. No chemicals, pesticides, herbicides or any other unnatural or harmful inputs are ever used on the farm. We work with nature. She is our teacher.

This is a wonderful experience. We were so happy to meet Stephanie and her farm animal friends! Such a relaxing and loving experience from the beginning to the very end. There are two things I appreciated most in addition to all the great things other people have mentioned. One is the delicately designed routine. It definitely doesn’t feel like simply moving from one place to next. Instead, the whole experience was carefully planned and everything went so well together. There are so many things to do but you don’t feel rushed at all! The pace was just perfect. The other thing I really liked was that Stephanie would give me and my friend some space and time to either enjoy the great snacks she provided or spend some private time with the animals. This is absolutely the most refreshing and healing time I’ve spent so far this year. Will recommend this experience to anyone!

Stephanie gave us a very nice tour of her farm. I went with my sister, husband, my 3yo and my 1yo. We started by collecting some leaves to feed the goats and sheep. Then we saw her veggie/herbs garden and tasted spearmint and pepper mint. Afterwards we went to feed the cows and she prepared a picnic for us. it was very refreshing. Then we fed chickens, collected their eggs and walked the miniature horses. We ended the tour by playing a bit with her two rescue bunnies. Our kids loved all of it!! It was a very nice experience overall! Stephanie is very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting facts about her animals. thank you!

As a gift, I took my sister, her husband and their kids to this wonderful farm experience. I loved hearing Stephanie's story of how she's making her dream a reality and it shows in the way she talks about her garden and the animals she has. The tour went over the different plants she's growing and then we fed the goats, the sheep, the cows and the chickens. The organic snack she offered was fantastic. She made the bread and the delicious spreads herself and the little break sitting on the picnic table was wonderful. My niece (3yo) and my nephew (15mo) had a wonderful time and so did we, the adults! I highly recommend this experience for the entire family!

What a fun experience! My son loved getting to feed/pet all the animals. Collecting fresh eggs was one of his highlights as well. Stephanie was super pleasant and engaging and taught us lots about the plants and animals on the farm

SO MUCH FUN! Stephanie was a great host. I loved all the information she shared, I learned a lot. The picnic was a really nice touch that I was excited about and was not disappointed. Loved being able to walk the mini horses. Animals were all really great and loved pets. :) I'm just sad I didnt get to see the pigs. She mentioned they will be adding them to the farm!
