What you'll do

This experience takes you into the heart of Seal Rescue Ireland where you will have the unique opportunity to see our adorable seal pups up close and help us get them one step closer to being released back into the wild! Great for couples, families with children aged 2+ and animal lovers!

Your experience will begin with an educational talk and behind the scenes tour of the hospital where you'll assist our skilled staff in preparing feeds and other enrichment items to keep the seals happy, healthy and mentally stimulated while in our care. You will have the chance to take part in feeding time for some of the pups, watching them dive and compete for fish, and develop the skills they'll need to flourish in the wild!

As a wildlife rescue and conservation charity, animal welfare is of the utmost priority, as is safety. Although visitors will be able to view the seals up close, these activities do not involve direct contact, and patting/touching the seals is not permitted

This is an outdoor activity, please wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear. There is a possibility of being exposed to bleach or fish liquid so dress accordingly.

Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and children under 2 are not permitted in the hospital area; one adult must stay with them in a public area

The staff have so much knowledge and I really learnt a lot. The feeding the seals was amazing, you really get to see them swim and dive for food. Staff were all very friendly and the gift shop has an excellent selection.

Highly recommended experience :) the staff was super helpful (we were a bit late for the appointment but they still waited for us), friendly and knowledgeable. They clearly love what they do. The experience was divided into two parts: an introductory part about seals and then the feeding part. Loved it!

What a magical experience!! The tour at Seal Rescue Ireland was the absolute highlight of our trip to Dublin and surrounds, totally memorable. Lewis did an incredible job leading us through the various stations, being truly passionate about the project. We just loved meeting all these beautiful animals, each seal has such a specific personality and they look so different! I really appreciated the time we were allowed to take, no hurrying at all. I could have spent days there, highly recommended. We will most definitely adopt a seal 😃

The Seal Rescue was wonderful. It was very educational and we learned about the seals and the work they do. We got to see the seals in their kennels and in the pools, and throw them fish for their feeding. It was really sweet. Everyone had a nice time. The seals are so adorable!

The tour guide made it really interesting not only for me but for my 5 year old and 8 year old sons. I would highly recommend it. It developed great empathy in my 8 year old, he wanted to adopt a seal. If he could have adopted them all he would have!
