My Name is Franck Leya well known as the Inner City Mayor by many international visitors. I have worked in the tourism industry for almost 8 years now. My area of expertise is the inner city of Johannesburg where I grew up and still stay up to date. I was born in the DRC Congo and moved to Johannesburg when I was 9-10 year old. I love Johannesburg and the City is highly misunderstood; I'm the City's gatekeeper and I have taken it upon myself to challenge people's perceptions about the Inner City of Johannesburg. Jo'burg is the most Afro-cosmopolitan city in the world with people from everywhere around the world! I grew up in Yeoville and here my love for Africa grew due to all the different street foods I was exposed too. Your visit is not complete until you try some of the food from around the continent in one square mile.

I enjoyed every bit of the experience especially the Ethiopian food, they had this beef stew that tastes like a Ghanaian stew.He was very accurate with meanings of some history within the suburb in which we visited. I will always recommend him to new clients if you happen to be in Johannesburg.

Very culturally relevant stories. We enjoyed going into the neighborhood to learn and taste traditional foods. Expect to share plates with the entire group.
