What you'll do

We’ll first hit a Flower Market. Here we’ll enjoy the bouquets of orchids, lotus, jasmine and myriad other flora from all over the country in an absolutely local atmosphere.

Next we’ll cross the river to Wat Arun, or Temple of Dawn – Bangkok’s unmistakable landmark of postcard fame. Climb its tower to get the most spectacular views around the Chao Praya and Grand Palace grounds. Walking along the riverbanks, you can also catch sight of Kuan An Keng Shrine, Santa Cruz Church and Wat Prayurawongsawas.

Afterwards, we’ll cross river once more to reach Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha) – one of the city’s oldest and largest temples.

Lunch is next on the cards; we’ll board a tuk tuk to reach a yum local restaurant before continuing to Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha). While in the Sanam Luang area, we’ll also hit the dazzling Grand Palace for good measure.

Our last stop of the day will be Wat Traimit, Temple of the Golden Buddha – for some, the highlight of any temple tour. It’s home to the world’s largest golden Buddha 5 meters in height weighing 5.5 tonnes (5,500kg)!

I was very sad, I learned nothing. The guide did not speak English, the driver was stopped by the police for driving on a day he wasn’t supposed to. The places we went to, were beautiful, but even thou the guide was kind and tried to make me happy, he was not suited for this job. If you are looking for someone to drive you around and let you figure things out on your own, this is perfect. But don’t expect to get any information about the places you go to.

Nancy was my tour guide and has been doing this for 30 years. She is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. I was very lucky to be the only one on this tour since there is drop in the number of visitors because of the corona virus. I received a blessing from a monk and dropped blessing coins in the 108 bowls signifying our 108 lives. Nancy took many pictures for me and knew the best shots. She chose yummy street food to try including fried bananas and sweet fried spring roles. She was understanding when I wanted to return back to the hotel early and miss a couple of the sites. It was a perfect ending to my last day in Bangkok. Thanks Nancy.

My sister and I enjoyed being able to easily see all the major temples in Bangkok Old City in one day. We saw beautiful temples, learned some new things, and overall, enjoyed our day. We wished that our guide had been more attentive and able to answer our questions- we felt we could have figured out how to get to these places ourselves, and were really hoping for some expert insight. If you are looking for an easy way to see these sights without too much hassle, this experience would be perfect. If you are hoping to deeply understand the stories behind the temples and understand them better, this may not be the best experience to choose.

A good way to visit some of the popular spots in Bangkok with a small group. Our host, Nuch, was very caring and carefully explained everything as the day went on. Since the tour starts relatively early, we were able to avoid some of the crowds. We had time to take breaks, drink some complimentary bottled water, and buy our own lunch.

We wanted to see the major temples in Bangkok efficiently and with an expert and this experience delivered exactly that. The day is long (8am-3:30pm), but you get to see all of the major temples and even the flower market. Nuch was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating (if someone needed a rest or toilet break), and very friendly too. She did a great job managing our very diverse group. We had a hard time finding the meeting spot, but other people found it without any issues, so I don’t blame the tour guide. Additionally, they came out to look for us which we appreciated.

This experience was the perfect way to start our adventure in Bangkok. Our tour guide Sasa made us feel so welcome and like part of her family. It was so hard to say goodbye at the end. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient with us—an eager, excited, and sometimes exhausted group of 6 jet lagged 20 somethings. The temples we went to were breathtaking, lunch at a local restaurant was to die for, and the flower market was a local experience we would have never thought to do. Getting to actively participate in this excursion made it so fun. Sasa made sure we got stunning pictures of everything we saw: temples, animals, local markets, rides on the tuktuk, food, and the group all together in this magical city. Thank you for this absolutely WONDERFUL experience!!
