What you'll do

I recommend this tour to those want to practice their Italian with an experienced language teacher and also want to visit some of the best spots of Turin, in a flexible itinerary based on how much you know the city.

We'll practice your Italian while walking in the city center and focusing on conversation, but it's also possible to do some written exercises together in a café/my home.

We'll learn in the most effective way for your needs, knowledge level and learning style in this PRIVATE tour. Yu'll decide how to set it: if you want to go to a cafè or my home for a more classic lesson (I live in a buiding built in 1888 right in the city center) and do written exercises together or if you want to visit for the whole time and improve your conversation.

We'll work on the mistakes you make, therefore our 1.5 hours will be very useful. Moreover, we can discuss about Italian/Turin culture, life style, food, society, work, travelling/moving to Italy. You can finally get all the answers you need.

My style is informal and friendly; I'm very patient and like to put some humour in our conversations. Consider me like your LOCAL FRIEND, not a guide or a teacher!

Consider me your LOCAL FRIEND, not a guide!

I was born and raised in Turin and am graduated in Art and Cinema History at the University of Turin. I'm a teacher of Italian for foreigners and speak also English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

In 2010 I started to work for some relocation companies that support the expats in their "new life" in Turin and for several companies that provide private language tutoring.

I'll be at your complete disposal for any questions you may have about Turin (or Italy): what to visit, where to eat, transport, culture, etc.

I teach Italian from zero focusing on grammar, pronunciation, culture, gesture, common mistakes, "false friends", etc.

Where you'll be

Our itinerary will cover the most picturesque spots of Turin in the Baroque or Medieval district, according to your preference.

We can also stop at my apartment if you want, to focus on written exercises/grammar (I live in a buiding built in 1888 right in the city center).

Since I'll also share with you my best tips to enjoy your stay, I suggest you to join me on your very first day, so you'll be able to skip all tourist traps!

I did a couple of tours with Melissoula, one with a small group and one 1-to-1 to work on my Italian. It was amazing! First, Melissoula has been very accommodating to find some time for me at the very last minute. Then the tours were just great :) I think it was the first time in my life I didn't get bored during a 2 hours guided tour 😅 I recommend it 100%!
