  • Alpaca trekking Cornwall
You'll arrive at our farm where you will be greeted by Farmer Emma and her team, you will then walk through the barn where have animals wanting a cuddle. You will go up into the shop where we will have a brief health and safety chat, you will then receive your bag of feed for your alpaca and we will head into the field to meet all of our trekking boys. Once you have chosen your Alpaca and had a stroke of their super soft fleeces, we will walk around and up the field through our paddocks where we have other sheep and alpacas. With stunning views of Bodmin moor and our animals you will spend approx 1 hour walking around the fields where we will feed, and take photos. Once back down in the shop you will have your Cornish Cream tea, all made with Cornish products. You will be able to ask questions and mooch around our shop and see all our lovely quality made products. We hope to see you on the rolling hills of Bodmin Moor soon. Please note dogs are not able to come on the experience. ( all dietary requirements can be catered for) Other things to note Please get in touch if you have any questions. Or enquires we are always happy to help.

  • Pottery Wheel Experience
Upon arrival we’ll run through the basics before demonstrating pottery throwing on the wheel to make a small Pot. It’s then over to you to ‘throw’ your own small pot (or two, time permitting). Choose one pot to decorate with small clay shapes/stamps using the tools provided. (Additional pots can be decorated and kiln fired at a cost of £5 per extra pot) Your creations will need to be left with us for drying and kiln firing. We can glaze in one solid colour before kiln firing or leave unglazed so that you can decorate at home with your own acrylic paints and varnish. Your pot/s can be collected 3-4 weeks from the date of your experience or we can post for a small additional cost. Allow up to 1hr 30mins in total for this experience. This session is a fun ‘taster’ pottery throwing for those who have never tried a potter’s wheel and always fancied ‘having a go’. Aprons are provided but we recommend wearing clothes you won’t mind getting a little messy. Please message if you require availability for a date not shown, or haa larger group. Other things to note: We are a just few minutes walk from bus stops at Chilcotte memorial with buses serving Dawlish, Shaldon, Teignmouth, Torquay Harbour, Paignton, Brixham and pay and display car parks at Chilcotte Close and Hampton Avenue.

  • Countryside Horse & Carriage Ride
Meet your host at the entrance to Middle Week Farm. Walk across our farmyard & enter the Horse Barn where you will meet our draught horses, Albert, George & Bella. The horse(s) being used for your horse and carriage ride will already be harnessed. We encourage guests to interact with our wonderful horses, but if you prefer, you can watch from a distance while I explain how we use them on our farm. For two guests we normally use one horse, but for more than two we use a pair of horses to ensure that the load is an easy one. The welfare of our horses is very important to us & we are proud of their turnout & condition. You are welcome to take photographs of your party with our horses before we hitch up. The carriage is comfortable but open to the elements & it can be cold, so make sure you bring warm & weatherproof clothing & an umbrella. Once we are hitched up you are invited to climb aboard the carriage & we begin your trip back in time to a gentler age. The route we take travels through the peaceful countryside surrounding our farm. During the ride I will normally share some local history, & give you some insights into our way of life, but if you want peace & quiet we can do that to! We can often adjust timings & numbers to suit your party, just message us to request changes. We hope you leave us with a real sense of calm & of having journeyed back in time.

  • Explore North Cornwall on Electric Bikes
Please see the section 'guest requirements' below to see if this experience is for you. I will guide you on a cycle ride around the beautiful coastal surroundings of Morwenstow, N. Cornwall, taking us to some of the South west's most remote, wild and spectacular places - all linked together on sleepy country lanes with very little traffic. This area is extremely beautiful but can be hilly, and this is where the electric bikes come into their own. With an electric motor assisting while you pedal, we will be able to explore the area in comfort, giving you more energy to take in the surroundings! At the meeting point I will go through what we will be doing and get you sorted with an electric bike and helmet. You'll have plenty of time to get familiar with the bike and give it a test run, and when you are comfortable with everything we will begin our adventure. Our route will last 2.5-3 hours and will take us on some lovely roads out to the cliffs, with a tea rooms (famed for it's cream teas!) and local pub along the way if you fancy a refreshment. To get access to some of the most interesting places (for example a shipwreck-wood cabin built into the cliff face in the 1800's) we will park the bikes and go on foot for 15 minutes, so please bring shoes you are comfortable walking in too. www.goodmorningcaptain.co.uk/electric-bikes for more information
