Gum Tree Studio - The perfect country retreat!

With amazing views and the Taste Tasman cycle trail at the end of the road this is the perfect retreat to get away from it all. We're lucky to be surrounded by farmland, countryside, mountains, sea, National Parks, fresh air and birdsong. Just a short 10 minute drive from the popular village of Mapua and 10 minutes from Motueka this artistic, modern, roomy and stylish studio is a perfect getaway. The Studio is located at the rear of our home property, down a private drive, with ample parking.

Wendels Acre is a rural property, our house and grounds is an acre of garden & 4 acres of land, running sheep. The studio has sea views and it's own private garden. The location is close to Mapua Village, Rabbit Island, Motueka, Great taste cycle trail (Nelson to Kaiteriteri), Kaiteriteri Mountain bike park, & Abel Tasman National Park. A cute wee cottage for a hideaway. Surrounded by trees and bird life in a peaceful setting. The Motueka River is a 5 min walk. We have a sculpture garden and gallery on site showcasing the work of David Carson and other artists. Free entry to our guests. We are 20 minutes from Nelson city by car and 15 minutes to Nelson Airport. We are 5 to 10 minutes from some of the best restaurants in the region and just minutes away from surrounding wineries and 20 minutes from the beaches. Karaka studio is on the very edge of the Waimea Inlet with water fifty metres from your front door. Lie in bed and watch the tide come in. We are a private island (Manuka Island) but we have drive on access at all times, 25 minutes to Nelson and Motueka. Rabbit Island beach(4km) and Taste Nelson Cycle Trail is a km from our gate. We are central to vineyards, cafe, 3/4 hour to Abel Tasman National park. We have amazing sea, rural , and mountain views. Total privacy assured.
